SutaNutan ShopKeeperEverything is free and secure on your own computer..! There is a video for each, below.
SutaNutan ShopKeeper is free shop keeping software for a small store — purchases, sales, batch-wise stock, dues and GST in one place, with nothing to pay, ever. One click installs it into Google Chrome, and from then on it needs no internet at all. No account to open, no monthly bill, nothing uploaded anywhere.
One click installs it into Google Chrome, like any other program on the computer. After that it opens from the desktop and runs with no internet at all, so billing never stops when the network does.
Give it the supplier’s bill as a PDF or a photo. It reads the supplier, the invoice number and every line — batch, manufacturing date, expiry, quantity, rate — and shows them for checking. Accept it and the purchase is posted: stock goes up batch by batch, the supplier’s dues are updated, and the scan stays attached to the bill.
Keep the document with the entry: attach the supplier’s bill, a delivery note, a cheque or UPI screenshot — as many PDFs or photos as you like — to any purchase, any sale, or any payment you record. Open one with a click from the bill itself, and never hunt through a file again. Attachments travel inside the backup, so nothing is left behind.
Every batch carries its own manufacturing and expiry date. While billing, the oldest batch in stock is picked first, and stock can never go below what is really there.
Which batches have expired, and which expire in 30, 90, 180 or 365 days — so goods are returned or moved before they turn into a loss.
Batch-wise quantity, average purchase price, last purchase rate and stock value. Click a batch for its full history. Export to Excel or print.
A proper tax invoice with your logo, HSN-wise tax summary, batch and expiry lines, amount in words and bank details. CGST/SGST or IGST and round-off are worked out for you.
B2B, B2CS, B2CL, credit notes for sale returns, HSN summary and documents issued for any month or quarter — exported as one Excel workbook plus the CSV files the GST offline tool imports. Send that folder to your CA, or file it yourself.
Supplier and customer dues bill by bill, part payments, advances adjusted against later bills, receipts attached, and a party statement as a PDF.
Choose the party and the dates, tick the lines coming back, and set the quantity and rate. Never more than was sold on that line; never more sent back to a supplier than the batch still holds. Stock goes back into its batch, the party’s due comes down — anything over it is kept as an advance — and the credit note or debit note prints like a bill.
Start from the day you are on: enter the stock already in the godown and what each supplier or customer already owed, and carry on billing.
Nothing is uploaded anywhere and nobody else can read your accounts. A backup makes one zip file of the database and every attached scan. Where that file goes is your choice — a pen drive, another computer — and keeping it safe is your job, not something the software does behind your back.
Upload the shop’s own logo once. It stands at the head of every sale bill and statement, sits in the corner of the app, and can be set faintly behind the pages of the bills and behind the app’s own screens as a watermark — so the paper the customer takes home is the shop’s, not somebody else’s software.
There is no .exe to download and no setup file to trust. Open sutanutan.com in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on the computer, press Install, and the billing software is on the PC — an icon on the desktop and in the Start menu, its own window, and no internet needed from then on.
Open sutanutan.com in Chrome or Edge. Press Install at the top of this page, and Install again in the box the browser shows. Open it from the desktop icon, fill in the shop’s name and GST number, and start billing. The “How to install” video at the top shows every step.
Windows 10 or Windows 11 with an up-to-date Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge — no server, no special hardware. A Mac, an Ubuntu computer or an Android phone works too — see below. Windows 7 and 8 cannot run today’s Chrome, so it does not run there.
The same full software for every shop: no trial that runs out, no licence key, no registration, no yearly renewal. Bills print on whatever printer the computer already has.
Nothing to download again. When the computer is online, the newest version is picked up the next time the software is opened — and an update never touches your books.
The same free billing software on every one of them — the same screens, the same bills, the same GSTR-1. Install it from Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, and from then on it opens like any other app, with no internet. Each device keeps its own books; a backup file carries them from one device to another.
Open sutanutan.com in Chrome or Edge and press Install. It sits on the desktop and in the Start menu, opens in its own window, and can be pinned to the taskbar.
Open sutanutan.com in Chrome or Edge on the Mac and press Install. It opens from Launchpad like any Mac app and can be kept in the Dock.
Open sutanutan.com in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for Linux and press Install. It appears in the list of applications and can be added to the dock — billing software for an Ubuntu PC, free and offline.
Open sutanutan.com in Chrome on the phone and press Install. The icon lands on the home screen, the screens fit a phone, and a supplier’s bill can be read straight from a photo taken with the phone’s camera.
Any shop that has to know which batch a thing came from and when it expires — and any shop with hundreds of small items moving in and out.
Insecticide, fungicide, herbicide, seeds and fertilizer — batch numbers, manufacturing and expiry dates on every purchase and every bill, exactly as the licence requires.
Medicines are bought and sold batch by batch with an expiry date on each strip. Oldest batch first while billing, and an expiry report before stock becomes unsaleable.
Creams, oils and shampoos carry batch codes and expiry dates too, in many small packs and sizes. The same batch tracking covers them.
When a hundred little things are purchased and sold every week, a scanned purchase bill becomes a full stock entry in one go instead of an evening of typing.
Nothing to buy on day one. Open it, fill in the shop’s name and GST number, put in the opening stock, and start billing the same day.
No subscription, no per-bill charge, no locked features. Your data is a file on your own computer, not a hostage in somebody’s cloud.
GST tax invoices with CGST/SGST or IGST worked out, and GSTR-1 ready at the month end as Excel and the offline tool’s CSV files — hand it to the CA, or file it yourself.
When the work is billing, stock and GSTR-1, not a full set of accounts: a free billing software that a shop assistant can learn in an afternoon, with no licence to renew every year.
Nothing. It is Made In India free billing software, made by SutaNutan, free for life time. There is no trial that runs out and no feature kept behind a payment.
If the shop needs something the software does not do, it can be built for you. That work is charged, and only that — the software itself stays free. Call the help line to talk about it.
No sales calls, no reminders, no messages. We call only when you have called us first. Your number is not on any list.

Yes. No subscription, no charge per bill, no paid version with the useful parts in it. If anybody asks you for money for this software, do not pay them.
Inside your own computer, in the browser’s storage. Nothing is uploaded and nobody else can read it. Because of that, clearing the browser’s data removes it — so take a backup, which writes one zip file. Keeping that file somewhere safe, on a pen drive or another computer, is up to you: the software never copies it anywhere.
No internet is needed to run it. The connection is used only the first time, to install it into Chrome. After that it opens from your desktop like any other program and works entirely offline — a bill is never held up by a network that is down, and a shop with no broadband can use it on a phone hotspot once and then forget about it.
Yes — a PDF from a scanning app, or a photo. Lines with batch, expiry, quantity and rate are read and shown for checking; the bill total and the calculated total are compared, so a wrong reading is visible before saving. Accept it and the purchase is posted with the stock, and the scan itself stays attached to that bill. Nothing is uploaded: the reading happens on your own computer.
It prepares GSTR-1 — B2B, B2CS, B2CL, credit notes for sale returns, HSN summary and documents issued — as an Excel workbook and as the CSV files the GST offline tool imports. Send that folder to your CA, or file it yourself.
No. No sign-up, no password, no email. Install it and start.
Each computer keeps its own books. Move a backup file across to carry the books from one to another.
Yes — that is what the help line is for. Customisation is done at your cost; the software stays free.
Yes — on Windows 10 or Windows 11. There is no .exe to download: open sutanutan.com in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge and press Install. It lands on the desktop and in the Start menu like any other program, opens in its own window, and needs no internet after that. Windows 7 and 8 cannot run today’s Chrome, so it does not run there.
For a shop whose work is billing, it is: GST sale bills, purchases from a scanned bill, batch-wise stock with expiry, dues bill by bill, and GSTR-1 for the GST portal — free, and simple enough to learn in an afternoon. It is not full accounting. There is no balance sheet, no profit and loss account, no GSTR-3B, no e-way bill and no e-invoice. If your CA needs those from Tally, keep Tally for them and send the CA the GSTR-1 this software makes. More on Tally and this software.
Yes. Every sale bill is a proper tax invoice with CGST/SGST or IGST and an HSN-wise summary, and at the month or quarter end it makes GSTR-1 — B2B, B2CS, B2CL, credit notes for sale returns, HSN summary and documents issued — as Excel and as the CSV files the GST offline tool imports. GSTR-3B is filed on the portal by you or your CA.
Word for word what the app itself shows under “Offline · data stored on this computer”. Every line has to stay true to what the software really does.
Every bill, party, batch and attached scan is stored inside this browser, on this computer. There is no account, no sign-in and no server holding a copy.
Nothing, on its own. The app does not send your bills, customers, stock or totals anywhere, and it collects no usage data. The one request it ever makes about your shop is the GST lookup during setup: when you press “Fetch Name, Address and Auto Configure”, the GST number you typed is sent to our lookup service, which returns the name and address registered against it. Nothing else is sent, and only when you press that button. When online it also fetches its own newer files from our website — see Software updates below — and that carries nothing of yours. Backups go only where you put them — the software never uploads them.
Clearing this browser’s site data, or uninstalling the app, deletes every bill, batch and attached scan. Nothing is left behind on the computer, and we have no copy to restore for you. A backup .zip is the only way to get it back.
A backup is one .zip: the database plus every attached scan and receipt. It is written to the folder you choose in Settings → Backup. Until you choose a folder, nothing is backed up by itself and “Backup now” lands in Downloads. Only the newest few are kept, as set by “Keep last N backups”.
That is the whole of it. This software works offline and sends a backup nowhere — not to us, not to Google Drive, not to any cloud. Keeping a copy somewhere safe, on a pen drive or another computer, is yours to do. If the computer is lost and the backup was only on it, the books are gone with it.
The software takes today’s date and the time from the clock of this computer or device — nothing else tells it what day it is. If that clock is wrong, the features that depend on today’s date will not work as they should: FIFO and nearest-expiry batch selection on a sale, the Expiry Report, the date a new bill starts with, and the financial year in bill numbers. Keep “Set time automatically” turned on, with the time zone set to India (IST, UTC+5:30).
Made to run offline, and not left behind: we keep adding features and fixing faults, and the application and this website are updated regularly. Today, whenever the computer has an internet connection, the app picks up the newest version by itself the next time it is opened. An update never touches your books. We are working towards telling you what an update brings, and updating only with your consent.
It’s a Made In India free Software. Made by SutaNutan.

The short version. Your shop’s books never leave your own computer. There is no account, no sign-in, no cookies and no tracking of any kind. The one thing this software ever sends is a GST number, and only in the moment you press the button that asks for it.
SutaNutan makes and gives away the software called SutaNutan ShopKeeper. You can reach us on +91 79806 89605 or at hello@sutanutan.com. We do not call / sms / dm / email you unless you have called us first.
Beware of fraud. The only phone number and email address we use are the two printed above. If anyone contacts you from any other number, address or account claiming to be SutaNutan, it is not us. Treat it as a fraud — answering it puts your shop’s information and your money at risk.
Every bill, party, product, batch and attached scan you enter is written into storage belonging to this browser, on this computer. It is not sent anywhere and there is no copy on any server of ours. We cannot read your accounts, and we could not hand them to anybody else even if we were asked, because we do not have them.
Customer names, addresses, phone numbers and GST numbers that you type into the software stay on your computer along with everything else. You are the one holding that information, not us. Because of that, keeping it safe — and answering for it if somebody asks — is yours to do. A backup file carries all of it, so keep backups where only you can reach them. The software never copies a backup anywhere for you; where it goes after it is written is your choice alone.
During setup, and in Settings, there is a button that fills your shop’s registered name and address from your GST number. When, and only when, you press it: the 15-character GST number you typed is sent to our lookup service; our service asks a GST data provider (gstinapi.in) what is registered against it; and the registered name, trade name, address, pincode, state and status come back and are filled into the form.
Nothing else is sent with it — not your bills, not your customers, not your stock, not your name. We do not keep a record of the lookups you make. The answer is held in your own browser’s cache for a day so that pressing the button again costs nothing. If you would rather not use it at all, type your shop’s details in by hand; everything works the same.
These pages set no cookies, load nothing from anybody else’s server, and carry no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels. Nothing here asks you to fill in a form. Like every website, the machine serving these pages keeps an ordinary access log — the address your internet connection is using, the time, and which file was asked for. It exists to keep the server working and to spot abuse, it is not looked at to identify anybody, and it is not joined up with anything else.
This software is made to run offline, and it does. We still add features and fix faults, and the application and this website are updated regularly. Today, whenever the computer has an internet connection, the app picks up the newest version by itself the next time it is opened — the way a web page does. That request asks our website only for the app’s own files; nothing about you or your shop goes with it, and your books are never touched by an update. We are working towards showing you what an update brings, and installing it only with your consent.
Your books — the database and every attached scan, in the browser’s own storage for this website. One preference — whether you left the menu open or collapsed; nothing else is remembered about you. And a copy of the app’s files, so it opens without the internet.
Clearing this browser’s site data, or uninstalling the app, deletes all of it — your books included. Nothing is left behind on the computer, and we have no copy to restore for you. A backup .zip is the only way to get it back.
The GST data provider named in section 4 is the only outside service this software ever reaches, and only for a lookup you asked for. Nothing is shared with anybody else, and nothing about you or your shop is ever sold, rented or handed over — there is nothing on our side to hand over.
This is software for running a shop. It is not meant for children and nothing in it is aimed at them.
Any change appears here with a new date above. The software is free and needs no account, so there is no address of yours for us to write to — please look here if it matters to you.
Call +91 79806 89605 or write to hello@sutanutan.com. If you want something in the software changed for your shop, that is the same number — that work is charged, the software itself stays free.
Free software for small business owners who keep their own books — a shop, not a chain. Free for life time, one click to install, then no internet needed. No account, no subscription.
